There’s a few examples of Facebook monetizing videos on their site now. Right now it’s only with two brands, but it has me wondering if this could expand at all in the future to allow creators to earn money from an ad revenue split with Facebook. If they do, that would be a pretty direct move to build something close to what YouTube has already established here.
